Dig and Sale: Fundraiser gives growth to Scholarship Fund!
Wonderful memories and great inspiration filled the air as invited guests joined the Calgary Horticultural Society in Ken Girard’s Garden to fun draise for the Ken Girard Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of Calgary. Our guests, along with Society Volunteers dug up plants from Ken’s Garden to take ho
me to a special place in their gardens. It was a wonderful time to share stories of Ken with his mother, Anna Girard and Ken’s sister Cheryl Fenton, who joined us for the day to meet the people who Ken had touched.
$6,800 raised in 4 hours!
A total of $20,800 was raised through the Society thanks to kind donations from Ken's Family, Board of Directors, Staff and many members of the Calgary Horticultural Society.
